Architects draft design of renovated Peterborough Public Library

Why Are We Renovating?

Today's libraries are so much more than the books they hold.  They are places where people come to access technology and find resources for work and education. They are a place where children explore and develop, and they create a space for people to gather and socialize.

Our library is truly the hub of the community.

But our building is over 30 years old!  Over time the needs of this building have changed along with laws surrounding accessibility and technology.  This renovation will not only update the physical building to ensure that we are meeting the needs of the public but also will create more user friendly spaces.  That means that we will be able to provide more meeting and program spaces, additional spaces for quiet work and study along with more room for programs.

Keep checking back, we will be updating the news section with everything you need to know about the renovation.  Our FAQ section will be changing as the project moves forward and we will be adding lots of photos as we go.
